After highly cooperative and fruitful consultations, the Shanghai Applied R&D Public Service Platform for Solid State Lighting (LED) and Messe München International have formalized a partnership, starting in 2010, aimed at supporting the Chinese LED sector and facilitating international cooperation, and are immediately preparing the special LED zone and the 4th Shanghai Innovation and Application Forum on LED Solid State Lighting to be held at electronica & Productronica China 2010. electronica & Productronica China 2010 will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center on March 16–18; it is anticipating around 350 exhibitors from leading domestic and international companies and over 30,000 professional visitors. As a member of the Shanghai International IT & Electronics Fair (SIIEF) sponsored by the Shanghai Economics and Information Committee and the Pudong New District government, electronica & Productronica China will be held concurrently with Semicon China, CPCA and LASER World of Photonics China. SIIEF is the biggest electronics application and manufacturing trade show in China, with exhibition space totaling 11,000 sqm, housing 2,002 exhibitors and numbering around 125,000 visitors. The LED special zone, which will be located in Hall E5, and will have on display LED chips, packaging, manufacturing, lighting, backlighting, materials, displays, and testing equipment, is intended to be an international trading and innovation platform primarily for the eastern regions of China, and also for the entire country. The partnership also includes the 4th Shanghai Innovation and Application Forum on LED Solid State Lighting to be held on 16 March 2010 at SNIEC, an event that will bring together various experts, define industry trends, promote LED applications, discuss new policies and projects, foster new industries and growth points, and facilitate developments and environmental protection. The partnership is a perfect match between government support and trade show organization, a benefit to many LED companies that will help the industry cluster grow, and a comprehensive service and support to LED R&D, manufacturing, designing and trading enterprises. |
